27th Aug - Operation Kimchi

Do or die. Judgment day. 1200, Korea vs Malaysia. Both teams with straight 3 loses, a 4th one means: bye bye go home shake legs. Winners takes all!!

Woke up in the morning, feeling fresh and fire up after 3 games, 3 loses and 3 trashings.
"Come on. Our fortune can't be take bad?"
"Well maybe were totally lousy and plain lucky that the score didn't break to 20?"
"Crap~"
"Last game liao, die die lar... Today cramp also must run!!!"

We can win. We gotta win. We must WIN!!
(We didn't win... T_T)

Well, Malaysia got off to a good start. Scored a goal. Defended the lead for the whole of first period. The score line was a great achievement considering that we concede at least 3-5 goals in the first 20 minutes in previous games.

However, taking into account the fact that the Koreans were playing half press compared to the others that full pressed and the difference in the level of technique and tactical discipline of the other teams, the score was nothing to be brag about.

In fact, we should have taken advantage of the space allowed and finished off the chances, or we would live to regret. And we did...

#10 missing a glorious chance.
"Still young lar."

Our lack of finished turned and punished us.

Second period. Face off. Goal.

#5. I'll never forget #5(as against Aussie U19 in the Bronze medal match, he score another goal, 11 seconds into sudden death). Few seconds into the game, the Koreans equalised. All the hard work erased.

Needing to win the game to qualify for the semis, it turn into an end to end game with both teams coming out to take the lead. The Koreans to advantage of the first goal, built on the momentum and got the second as we were caught of the heels by their swift counter attacking. We had our own chances but with lousy finishings and missing a penalty, who to blame but ourselves??

"Alamak?!?!"
Penalty saved by All Star Goalie

Coming out of the third the Koreas pressed as if they didn't used any energy during the first two as they came on us hard and strong. The defensive started to crumble as goals creep in slowly one by one.We just couldn't cope with the constant pestering of the Koreas at and their pacey attackings.

In the last moments with our last throw of dice, we push up high hoping for a miracle and awarded the "Kimchi-mers" free passage to our goal. 1-5. We are shaking legs for the next 3 days...
