Fly fly and away...

Pyeongtaek

See you all in April

妈的!

困难重重,突围已难,
附加这晴天霹雳,
只能顿时僵硬;
只能唉声叹气;
只能恶言脏语。

心灰意冷,
一切只能麻醉。
米已成粥,
一切已不能挽回。

恨,却无能为力;
咒,也无济于事;
只能试着抛开烦恼,勇往直前;
只能祈祷盼望,奇迹的出现。

船到桥头真的自然能直吗?

妈的!

Shit's Happening

12th to 14th Mar.
Marked down on the calender.
The final test before Pyeong Taek,
Training Camp in KL.

It has been a torture, mentally going into this fixture.
Frustration.
The tale of two kite flyers.
Our main defenders Suzie & Henry C pulled out!
2 weeks before APAC and you get struck by such bad news.
What the heck!

For what ever reasons, it still pisses me off.
We were all in this.
Finally, all of us.
Finally, we had centralised training.
Finally, we trained tactics.
Finally, things were getting A BIT organised.
Finally, I felt like we were going in prepared.
And this happens.
Crap~

Wait!
This is not the end.
What is worst than missing out two key defenders against the likes of Singapore, Japan and Australia? All WFC regulars. Not to mention the host, Korea?
The worst part, I am the replacement!

Yes, you heard it right.
Kuan Yang is playing defender.
This is craps beyond infinity!!!
I bet same goes to my poor partner,
Chris.

Ok.
I did started of as a defender but that was ages ago.
Shall we say 04-05?
Well, I did had a few cameo appearance in PFL'08.
But, at the highest level in Asia?
This is to much to handle.
Every though of it chills my mind,
I can't bare to think of the shitty possibilities that's going to happened.
Man, my anticipation, my timing, my positioning, is all out.
Damn!
Shit happens, but this is a bit too much!

*Deep Breath*
Ok.
Must think of the bright side,
if not, its gonna kill me.

The bright side is:
Sure, shits definitely going to happen,
but poor poor Lin Ken,
he'll be the last one to handle all the shit,
possibly ending up walloping it all.
hahaha...

Not funny,
bad for the team,
and Link is gonna kill me.
Sorry Linky.
Haiz...
Will just have to try my best laaa.

+++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++

Back to training.
Day 1.
First session was late in the evening, at UM.
It's at the outdoor court that we played few years back when we came down for the SFA cup.
Playing in the afternoon, under the hot sun, crazy stuffs.

Anyway, the first session was more of a warm up,
getting us ready for tomorrow,
and so, we played.

Our partnership debut?
Crappy.
I don't even want to go into details.

So, after dinner, we cramped at Ming Hwee's big house,
did some team bonding,
basically crapping around,
about PFL,
about how someone hurt Lin Ken's feeling.
Until the boss says,
Ok, to bed.

Day 2.
The real deal starts.
9am to 1pm at S13 Sports Plaza.
Tactical drills.
More adapting for the new role.
Crappy la.

The blow of the day,
some miscomm with the booking,
so we moved out back to UM for the evening session training.

Must be Guan and Kok Ee,
bring all the bad luck,
all the way from Singapore.
Haha...

Training continues.
More tactics,
then some free hits,
direct free hits,
corner free hits.
And, ended with game time.

Crappy stuffs,
Haiz...
Forgive me,
don't feel like recalling it.

Day 3.
Friendly.
Team Blast plus Blacks FC came down for the weekend to spar with us.
And they were early,
embarrassing.

It was quite nervy,
this is the real test in a real game for me and Chris.

In the end,
it was still crappy.

I felt we weren't really test.
Our opponents were apparently tired from travelling and came straight away for the game.
They weren't competitive.
We won,
but nothing to be proud of.
They were not in good shape,
and the goalie barely moved.

Review:
Sloppy.
Lack of communication.
Positioning need improvements.
More work.
Not enough time.

The day has not ended.
After the friendly, we continued with our training.
Tactics, tactics, tactics.

Day 4.
Final day.
Friendly again.
This time our opponent were fully rested, recharged and raring to go.
We, on the other hand, were trying out our new tactic.
Half court press.
This really gave our opponent a lot space and possession and they scored early.
We picked up late into the game, and everytime we scored, they responded.
The keeper was totally a different person. Top form.
Stopping all our shots!
In the end, a lost, a narrow one.

Review:
Still crappy.
But, some slight improvements, I think.
Still, more work to do,
but seriously, no time!!!

+++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++

So,
the clock is ticking,
the hour is near.
3 days before our flight.

Still,
a lot of packing to do.
some last minute shopping.
need to change the currency.
And, more nightmares of whats gonna happen ahead.
Craps~

Still, I can't believe I'm playing defender.
Help!!!
