CNY Report

Chinese New Year. Another really unfit festive season to celebrate after the already unfit Christmas week packed together between weekends and other public holidays. Almost full 10 days of slacking around and pumping the stomach with unfit food. Crap~ I need to get out of the room!

CNY has been more less celebrated as I grew. It has become a time for rest, slack and get lazy away from the hectic working stress on normal days. It is also a nice time to do some catching up when all my old mates are back home as well. I miss schooling days! Who doesn't?

Anyway, CNY always start with mum's annually cooking spree. She only cooks during CNY where no hawker is crazy enough to sell you econ rice! Since we bought the electronic steamboat... thing.(how to you call that, hmmm...)

It is a very convinient invention I say, no need to prepare the carcoal, like the traditional ways, just throw eveything in it, let it boil, and lets makan. If you think our steamboat session is cool, well, not quite. It is full of vege.. all greenish stuffs, and loads of different kinds of mushrooms. And thankfully, some meat. It is not to say that bad, if you have it once in awhile, but imagine 2 times a day for 2-3 days, and not to mention you have be the vacum cleaner. I literally hantam everything until the "boat" is empty everytime. I feel like exploding!!!

Steamboat makan session has become a tradition with the acquisition of the electronic utensil, but going down to SP on the second day of CNY has been there since my birth as far as I can recall. Basically, mum is from SP, grandma and majority of the relatives are staying there as well, so we have a reunion there annually. Never miss it. Guess whats on menu? Steamboat. =.="

SP's steamboat is not too bad la, at least there is more meat, and other unhealthy ingredrients which are restricted during normal days. Why unhealthy food always test best. haiz. Not forgetting the reunion, we get to meet our cousins at least once a year during the trip but then we never was that close with most of them as we stay far out of each others' radar. (or maybe it's just me) However, I do enjoy spending time with one of my cousin, basically we share the same interest, I guess. Football, FM, manga, games... all the boys stuffs. We might be stone to others but we crap, we really crap a lot.

The day sums up with me seeing red. Red? Red sound good during CNY don't they? Bring luck. Ong! They say. Not for me. Red for blood. My hand got itchy seeing my cousins dog sitting quitely and rather tamely across the door, so I though of give the dog a nice tap on the head. What the hell! My hand barely cross the door when the damn dog bit me, luckily my reflexs were fast, got my hand back as soon as it completed its bite, got a minor scratch between my fingers.

What luck huh? I'm still waiting to see wear seeing red really brings me luck this year, cuz I'm pissed off with the pain and antibiotics and the muscle aching of the tetanus. Crap~ what a way to start a new lunar year. haha...

4th day of CNY, supposedly to be back to work but we're given the opition to opt for 2 days leave and stretch our holiday to Feb, since everybody opted to do so, no point going to the office alone. So, I continue with my CNY tradition, visiting our primary school class teacher. We have been carrying out this tradition since we graduated from primary school and have always been an event I look forward to every year. It is always nice to get along with school mates which majority of them are also secondary schoolmates and do some catching up and old times crapping.

Although we try and get everybody to atend but because nobody wants to really organise it especially when we are into our final years and careers now, it has become more random so I think it is quite an achievement to get 16-17 fellas annually.

Well, the days are counting, friends are going off one by one, back to daily boring routines, work, and regular floorball! And the most important thing for now, get back to healthy and fit ways of life, stay away from snacks and Sandy(tempting stuffs) and get on the threadmill more. Crap~ Before it ends, get myself out of the room, head out, watch some movies, some nice flicks recently, hopefully I can settle as much movies as possible.

The only regreat is we haVe only 24 hours a day and 8 are dedicated to sleep and that the human body and mind have flaws, it gets tired and it forgets. Wanted to meet up and supposed to meet up with some friends and buddies but I forgotten about one, and couldn't make to a few cuz I was occupied with others. I even bumped into one today, all the memories just kept pouring back. I'm getting so nostalgic. Crap~

So long no see already, I miss those old days, may it be schooling days or hostel days, they were the best, I so wanna meet up with all of them and catch up with them. Well, as long as all are safe, sound and healthy, I think I shouldn't ask for more.

Next on the list, PFL 2009 Div 2, matchday 2. Dalat Falcons vs Frontliners 300!!

Two O O Nine

Wow, it is 12 days in to 2009 and this is my first post since... the 20th. Crap~ A whole month without updates.

Why?
Lazy la... hahaha...

Darn sienz for the last 2 weeks of December.
No state training.
No club training.
Without floorball, I am officially lifeless.

And to make things worst, its Holiday season.
Crap~ even slack.
All day locked up in the room and face glued to the laptop screen...
Movies after movies...

The worst of all, my old gang was back in town!
Tonnes of food walopping session.
Koay tiao teng follow up with ikan bakar and fries and ended with fried duck egg koay tiao.
Holidays are unfit!!

Finally, all hell comes to an end!!!
Training is back.
Club training is now splited.
Women and juniors 8.30 - 10.30.
Men 10.00 - 1.00
GK 9.00 - 1.00
So every Saturday packed with 4 hours of floorball. Nice!!

State training is back too.
Welcome back the die hard physical training.
First training is pay back for all the unfit sins we have committed during the festive season and everybody was drilled to the edge of vomiting, with Deswyn out of the list of course. Crazy fella damn fit!
Second one tommorrow.
Lets hope we do better.

And the ever exciting, die hard 4.0 centralised training is at the end of the week.
We better get ready enough vomiting bags for all our puke!

New Years Resolution 2009:
1. Drilled the Spartans to be medal contenders. (= more physical; more drills)
2. Keep a cool head at all times. (getting more and more impulsive these days. Crap~)
3. Keep fit. Regularly. (damn, I'm not making good use of the Takasima treadmill)
4. Make it for the national squad. (competition is stiff, no more humiliating campaigns)
5. The project going! (Spritzer, Albert, move your asses!!)
6. Live life to the max!!! (savor ever moment & people in life. Think positive!!)

2009 here I come!!!
