The Rotting - Season 2

Ah... It has been a long long time since I last updated the blog. Been busy with KY Productions new series call “The Rotting” Season 2. Season 1 was utter crap. Total gross rotting shit. So, decided to up the level a little for Season 2.

Sunglasses

Been roaming around for those. Only 2 that comes to mind. Oakley and Rudy Project. The downside is, both are utterly expensive and the prices in all shops are similar as it is controlled. Still contemplating... but I think in the end it would just be deciding on which outlet to go for Oakley cause I can hardly find any that sells Rudy Project. I have to confess though, the Livestrong series is a little hard to resist.

Why you ask? Hmmm... Maybe it’s time I get some swagger? ^^

Reading

Finally finished a book after God knows when. In this cyber age, it is hard to get the eyes which is glued to the screen and sway it away into a piece of paper, let alone a stack of those. But, there is a will, there is way. And the will comes from being inspired by Bear Grylls, the nutter that eats shit, show in pee, swim naked in icey river and jump off cliffs.

Mud, Sweat and Tears is a highly inspiring and fun read about Bear’s upbringing and his journey in life. Born to roam the wild since young. Picking up martial arts to fend of bullies. Joining the hellish SAS selections. Breaking his vertebras from free diving. Climbing Everest after the fall. And becoming the Man versus wild. RM45 and 6 hours well spent. Might reread it later.

Running

PBIM is around the corner and I still haven’t started any training. Considering that I wanna try and achieve my life’s goal on finishing a half marathon in 2 hours, I thought I better start now. They say the hardest part is to take the first step. True that.

After failing to do so in Season 1, I was determine not to succumb to my laziness this time around. So far, one 5k and 10k run respectively. 5k run was ok. Not fast but ok. 10k however was torture. Ever since my knee ligaments were overstrained back in 2010, it has never fully recovered. The 10k run further confirms it. 5k onwards, I can run no more than 9km/h without the knee feeling strained. 7k and onwards, I have to drop it down to 8 – 8.5km/h and add on recovery runs at 6.5 -7km/h.

Time of completion was 1h 7m 26s at an average pace of 9km/h. With the looks of it, I guess it’s bye bye life goal. Even bye bye half marathon. I doubt I can complete 21k without breaking my knees with my current condition. Sad. Maybe 10k will do. Sad.

Floorball

Merdeka Cup was screwed up but all hail to Salibandy!CO who took get effort to come down to Penang and had a friendly match with the Penang Squad. It’s good to have a run as it provide the coaches and the players to assess the team and individual for the time being.

Penang won 10-2. Not a bad result considering line one missing key players. Overall game play was decent, but there are still room for attacking movements as a few players were quite static. More questions would be asked on the defensive side as we were constantly exposed on the counter as the defenders either drop down to low or commit to early.

And finally, back to Frontliners training after missing it for more than one month due to various reasons. It’s good to be back and get the boys going. With a few key players missing once again next year, it’s best to gear them up asap to give us a better chance of grabbing a medal next year! Light training first, the real deal was start later. *Evil Grin*

The season is at its finale and back to reality soon. However, I am game on to keep the momentum going. I must, in fact. I hate to slack!! But sometimes I lack the will. Haiz.

No matter, quitting is for losers and I am not going to stop until these snowballs gets humongous!
1. Read more books
2. Run more 5k & 10k
3. Plan Floorball training regime

The game face is on!!! (I hope)
